Are you trying to make some lasting change in a specific area of your life, but can’t seem to get out of your own way?

Maybe you set a resolution but failed after a few weeks. Or you try to make a big change but can’t seem to sustain the willpower, discipline, or motivation to see it through. Don't beat yourself up if you want to change something but can’t seem to get out of your own way. Oftentimes, limiting beliefs have been planted into your subconscious mind and are restricting you from making the necessary changes.

Luckily, these beliefs can be replaced if you model the behaviors of successful people and learn to reshape your mind and reprogram your belief system.

Here are 3 simple practices to do just that:

  1. Create An Empowering Morning Routine

I constantly see people with bad habits, and instead of trying to fix one at a time, they try to tackle several at once.

This rarely works. But, there is one habit that can create positive results in almost any area of your life:

A consistent, productive, and planned morning routine.

If you win the morning, you win the day. It's as simple as that.

The first step of a productive morning routine is waking up early without hitting the snooze button. Waking up early, consistently, automatically creates discipline.

With social media, emails, text messages, and phone calls, it has never been harder to stay disciplined. Luckily, a morning routine will help you create the habit of being disciplined and give you more time in the day.

The early morning is usually the only time of day that is completely uninterrupted and allows you to work on yourself.

So invest this time writing your goals in a journal, meditating, and reading your declarations, affirmations, and statements of faith out loud to yourself to reshape any limiting beliefs. Here are some of my personal favorites:

  • “I have a millionaire mind. I think big and choose to help thousands and thousands of people.”
  • “I observe my thoughts and entertain only those that empower me.”
  • “I am committed to constantly learning and growing.”

These declarations are more likely to stick with you as your subconscious mind is highly active in the morning.

If you set your intentions, declare what you are trying to accomplish for that day and for the long term, your mind will begin to listen. This is why it’s so important to do this every morning! Also, practice these declarations boldly (with passion, excitement, and enthusiasm) in the mirror to accelerate the process. Eventually, you will rewire your subconscious mind and reshape your life.

The more you focus on your inner world, the faster you will see results in your outer world.

  1. Learn Something New Each Day

Another great way to model successful people and replace limiting beliefs is to learn something new every day. Often, your limiting beliefs are ingrained because you simply don’t know any better… yet.

By creating a habit of learning, you will learn to replace negative beliefs with positive ones.

Successful people are always reading… just ask billionaire Warren Buffett, who reads five hours per day!

Broke people read for entertainment, while rich and successful people read to increase their knowledge, understanding, and wisdom so they can offer more to the world.

If you are constantly learning something new, you will show your brain that most limiting beliefs are wrong and that you can accomplish anything.

Commit to your growth every day by ensuring you read something new, listen to inspiring podcasts, attend seminars, and hire a coach, mentor, or strategic thinking partner to help you.

Remember, the more you learn, the more you earn.

  1. Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable

The final way to replace your limiting beliefs is to get out of your comfort zone. When you are uncomfortable, you force yourself to grow and develop faster than ever.

Unfortunately, most people avoid uncomfortable situations at all costs as they fear failure or embarrassment.

Successful people shatter limiting beliefs by constantly growing and learning from uncomfortable situations.

The more you grow, the happier you will be, and likely the more income you will earn in the long term.

Start practicing these three habits with consistency and watch the change from your inner world begin to reflect in your outer world.
